Library Thing Tuesday (28) + Pic of Emmy

Popular this month on LT: Do you look at this list? sometimes Do you get ideas on what to read from it? not really Have you read any of the books on the list right now? sadly not.

Here's the list:

1.The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
2.Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World by Vicki Myron
3. Nation by Terry Pratchett
4.Brisingr by Christopher Paolini
5.Anathem by Neal Stephenson
6. American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld
7.The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer
8.The Story of Edgar Sawtelle: A Novel by David Wroblewski
9.Any Given Doomsday by Lori Handeland
10.Eclipse (The Twilight Saga, Book 3) by Stephenie Meyer

I own #3 and will be reading it soon. #7 is on my holiday wish list. #1,2,8 I would pick up from a book sale or the library. #5,6,10 I might possibly read someday - never say never. #4 and 9 I probably won't read, ever.

Now that Daniel is also working part time from home, we've been redecorating the home office. We finally made our reading corner very comfy with the addition of a lamp this past week. Now if Emmy would only let us actually sit there...

  1. I hope you get Guernsey for Christmas! Emmy looks like she's waiting for you to bring her a book.

  4. I was reading Guernsey in the bookstore on Sunday. Next time I go, I'm buying it (I already had three books and the Taylor Swift CD in hand, and the week before, I'd bought two other books, and, well, I gotta start to go a little slower)

  5. Thanks bermuda :) She does!

Alea - It is not easy getting her to move from that chair. We joke that it's her desk.

Dar - Reading? More like biting pages!

    Caite - YES!!

Beth - I've had it in hand twice but I put it back when I thought of my daunting TBR pile. Soon...

  6. So that's where she does all her scheming on how to be cuter!

  7. lol Lenore, Buddy does that with the mail. He tries his hardest to grab an envelope and then proceeds to chew off the corner. Thankfully he doesn't touch my books!

  8. alea - It's not an easy job so she has to spend a lot of hours there...

dar - Oh, Emmy likes to bite everything. And sometimes I find her playing with receipts that I haven't filed yet...

  11. It's always easy to see which is the best seat in the house--just look to see which one the pet is lounging in!

  12. Haha Emmy looks so cozy all cuddled up with a cushion and all!

Probably the only book on that list that I'll never read is American Wife - I had some interest at first, but I think the hype overdid it for me.

  16. You must have a long tbr list. I hope someone gives you Guernsey. That one and the Edgar Sawtelle are the only ones on the list that I read and reviewed. Both are excellent stories. I won a Dewey so I'm excite to get that and read it too. This is only my second time doing TT but it's a lot of fun.

  18. Emmy cracks me up! Muffin and Abby jump into any recently vacated chair, even if you're just getting up in the kitchen to grab something off the counter! Cats are just TOO much fun!
