Help me choose my author photo!
Last Saturday, I met Vania in Bryant Park and she took a series of amazing portraits of me. Which one should I choose as my author photo? So far, my twitter peeps seem to prefer #9. What do you think?

I like #2!
My favorite pose -- by far -- is #4.
However, I love the slightly bluer/darker coloring and contrast in #1 and #9. It looks more professional. Perhaps you can photoshop the coloring in #4 slightly to mimic #1 & #9?
However, I think they're all great. You look really gorgeous in all of them. :)

Wow, I like them all but I think I like 4 and 7 for author photos. Fun!
It depends on the tone of your book:
4 if you want to be approachable, youthful and funny
9 if you want to be serious, dystopian and professional. You could also warm up the skin tone in 9 via Photoshop.

In 4 you seem sweetest and most approachable. In 9 most like a seasoned pro. I just went through this with my own author photo and at the end of the day I counted the precise same number of votes for each of my three options. You will have to go, in the end, with what you love most.
