«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 249 of 249I think Katniss should definitely be someone new. I picture her as someone with very strong features, like Kiera Knightly, but with dark hair and olive skin. I don't really think Dakota Fanning or Anna Popplewell could pull it off.
Peeta: definitely Alex Pettyfer. He's the kind of character that calls for a really classic "cute boy" kind of actor.
Haymitch: Jeff Bridges would be awesome. Just keep him chubby.
Gale sort of draws a blank for me. Someone who resembles Alex Meraz, but I don't think I'd want any twilight actors in the movie.

For Haymitch i'm thinking Will Smith, because of Hancock. (I'm a fan of Orlando Bloom..... I know he's sorta old for Peeta)
I actually haven't read The Hunger Games yet, but it's really up high on my to-read list!! So many friends of mine have recommended it to me, and I trust their good literary taste that the book is great! I'm certain that The Hunger Games as well as its sequel are awesome reads, and I can't wait to read them. I'm actually already thrilled that a movie is going to be coming out for it, even though I haven't read it!

William Moseley keeps coming to mind as a good Peeta--at least how he looks.
Well, I think that Katniss should be a fresh face, someone not very well known. She should be pretty but she should not be super model pretty, and should give the impression that she is strong and a survivor, not week. Peeta should be played by Alex Pettyfer or Michael Welch, and maybe Brendan Gleeson for Haymitch?
By the way, I love the books! They are truly the best books I have ever read!

Hello there! I'm not exactly sure who I would cast for the movie, but I am very excited about it. I loved the first book, and I'm anxious to read the second one. I want to see how this whole Gale/Katniss/Peeta thing turns out, as well as what happens to District 12 after the games.

I LOVE CATCHING FIRE. I'M OFFICIALLY OBSESSED! Anyway, I think Anna Sophia Rob would play a great Katniss, and Skander Keynes from Narnia would be awesome as Gale. He looks perfect. Oh, and I definetely follow!

I haven't read The Hunger Games though I was recently able to get it. I want to read these books because they sound good and I've heard great things about them. Personally, I think they should cast unknown or little known actors/actresses for the movie. I'd rather see an unfamiliar face than some big shot.
