Where should my next book take me?

I haven't been on a trip since I went home for Christmas, and I'm getting the travel itch! I picked out a few books with exciting destinations and I want you to tell me where I should go!

Should I go to the sun-kissed beaches of Cancun, Mexico and into mysterious Mayan ruins where ancient myths flirt dangerously with present realities? If so, vote for Feathered by Laura Kasischke.

Should I go on a road trip across the USA with my fictional ex-boyfriend Jordan? If so, vote for Two Way Street by Lauren Barnholdt.

Should I go to Israel with my fictional estranged father? If so, vote for How to Ruin My Summer Vacation by Simone Elkeles.

Should I go to London and do everything my fictional aunt instructs me to do in 13 Little Blue Envelopes? If so, vote for the book by Maureen Johnson.

Or should I go Elsewhere?

I guarantee that sometime in March I'll read and review the book that gets the most votes!

I just read How to Ruin a Summer Vacation and I wasn't all that impressed by it. The main girl was unbelievably annoying.

Elsewhere was quite good and I'm looking forward to 13 Little Blue Envelopes.

Voting for 13 Little Blue Envelopes, too. But that's because I'm biased. Twice! ;) I love Maureen Johnson and I'm from London.

13 Little Blue Envelopes! I've heard amazing things about it. One of my author friends was inspired to write her own book after reading it. Go for it!

13 Little Blue Envelopes has withstood the test of time and remains one of my favorite books ever. Every time I reread it I have to read it through all at once. It's that good. Go there! :)

Oh, how fun!

I vote Cancun...sounds lovely. And a great cover.

I must say, though, that Elsewhere was fantastic (the only one in this group I've read).

I vote for feathered - the environment sounds really exotic and the Mayan culture should be quite exciting I believe.

Well, I am partial to London, so I would vote for 13 Little Blue Envelopes. However, I never thought of viewing books as vacation destinations. What a marvelous idea! I will need to use this criteria the next time I am trying to decide which book to read.

Go Elsewhere...you never know where you're going! Don't you love surprises?

Steph said...

TWO WAY STREET FTW.

I wanna read that one, so you need to tell me how it is.

My vote is also for 13 Little Blue Envelopes! I still haven't read it either, but want too.

Oh, Two Way Street! A road trip with an ex-boyfriend!? Why would anyone agree to such a thing? Now I must know more... :)

Hmm.....Elsewhere was great, but I'd choose 2 Way Street or how to ruin a summer vacay...they look more uplifting. Elsewhere was a bit heavy.

I vote for Feathered. You had me at "mysterious Mayan ruins" and "ancient myths". Plus it does have a lovely cover.

I vote for Elsewhere or 13 little blue envelopes! I've read both and really enjoyed them!

Elsewhere most definitely. I love that book.

I'll vote Feathered. Although, I just bought 13 Little Blue Envelopes and am looking forward to it.

Elsewhere was one of those books that I'm glad I read, yet have no desire to ever read again.

Love the cover of Feathered but I have to admit that I'm intrigued about Two Way Street so I'll have to vote for that one. 13 Little Blue Envelopes is actually on my want to read list already though....

I haven't read any of these I'm afraid. But by destination only...why not go elsewhere? (=

I have read each of these books, except for Two Way Street. And I think that my favorite of them all is Elsewhere.
