All I can say is wow. How close did you get to 200? We've read only a few of the same titles (and a few more are waiting on my shelves).

I grew up with a well-read mother and grandmother, but neither read Jane Austen (I find love for Austen's books is usually a passed down thing), and I have to admit her books didn't even register in my world until adulthood. And now I've read all of two, Persuasion being my second. Many more to discover!

I got to 160. I was aiming for 200, but had so much work the second half of the year, it just didn't happen.

I read my first 4 Austen in HS and just got back into her thanks to book club.

Lenore, you have probably read more books than anyone I know. You really inspire me!! Happy New Year to you, Daniel, and the kitties!

I'm impressed, not only with the number, but how long that post must have taken!!

Heather - My number pales in comparison to many bloggers. But it is the most I've read in a year in a LONG TIME.

Sandy - Actually, it didn't take all that long, since I copied and pasted from my sidebar. I've deleted the sidebar now to make way for 2011 reads.

It looks like you had a great reading year! I hope next year is just as great! Happy New Year!

Oh wow. This list is amazing! I think I read 10% of what you did.

I'm curious: How long does it take you, on average, to read a book?

Wow-What a great list!!!
You inspire me to read more and Delirium was my biggest "that moved me" novel as well, I cant really explain but it haunted me for a few weeks.
